Gender, LGBTI, and Persons with Disabilities Assessment
The purpose of the assessment, contracted by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is to “better equip the Mission with information on the vulnerable groups and provide recommendations on future programming.” The intent is to inform development of a new Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). Towards informing learning, the assessment sought to “document strengths, weaknesses and best practices” identified while implementing the current Strategic Plan. The assessment involved mixed methods, including document review, examination of existing statistics, ten focus group discussions, and interviews with 106 key informants from diverse sectors, conducted in seven areas of Kosovo in March and April 2018.
