Mission, Vision & Aims

The Education Finance Network was developed with a mission to convene diverse education stakeholders with a focus on leveraging non-state resources to create inclusive, high-quality education systems that assist the one in three children that are out of schools in low- and lower-middle income countries globally.

The vision for the Network is a global education sector where disadvantaged learners have equal access to quality education and where state and non-state education actors work together, relying on open dialogue, collaboration, and evidence of what works.

Specific areas of focus will be driven by Network members’ priority interests, including evidence and content related to:

Making the investment case
Private support to public education
Support to non-state schools
Regulatory environments

Why Join the Education Finance Network?

The Education Finance Network provides its members opportunities to network, engage the public sector through streamlined, transparent policy forums, work on technical issues and trends affecting the sector through focused working groups, access members’ only research, and participate in professional development. Looking for Evidence?

Aggregating, widely sharing and building on existing evidence is key to achieving the aims of the Education Finance Network. Aligned with this, the Network has developed an interactive Evidence Gap Map that draws from the large body of existing evidence on non-state actors in education, and includes academic, peer-reviewed journals that present a high-level of rigor alongside grey literature that may be more relevant and easily applied to practitioners’ work.
