Kitkit School is a tablet-based application with a comprehensive curriculum that spans early childhood through early elementary. Global Learning XPRIZE Field Test Data Report: Kitkit School: The Kitkit School treatment group comprised 421 students from 29 villages (sites 57–85). The assessment included a total of 2,041 participants from 168 villages, with 30 villages assigned to control. For listening comprehension and writing, the average gains of the treatment pupils were 2.5 and 2.3 times greater, respectively, than pupils in the control group. To examine the effectiveness of the intervention statistically, effect sizes were calculated. Effect sizes were moderate to large across the EGRA subtasks, with an average overall effect size of 0.7.
Use Case
Kitkit School Application in Kalobeyei Primary School: The Xavier Project partnered with Enuma to improve access to quality education for 240 refugee and host community children using Kitkit School at the Kalobeyei Settlement of the Kakuma Refugee Settlement. More than 350 organizations in over 50 countries used Kitkit School, making continuous learning possible.
